NYSA held a Tree Climbing Championship Competition at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on October 18 to qualify for the 2015 ITCC, which will be held March 21-22, 2015 in Tampa, FL.
The top three finishers of our 2012, 2013 & 2014 Masters’ Challenger were invited to compete with a chance to compete in Tampa. The competitors were:
- Davi Ariza, Padilla Tree, Bronx
- Brian Krawczyk, Birchcrest Tree & Landscape, Webster
- Jorge Obando, Birchcrest Tree & Landscape, Savona
- Jeremy Passinault, Birchcrest Tree & Landscape, Webster
- Lawrence Schultz, Central Park Conservancy, Brooklyn
- Sebastian Slizowski, Greenpoint Tree Service Inc., Carmel
Brian Krawczyk of Birchcrest Tree & Landscape was the overall winner and will represent New York State at the ITCC in March. Congratulations Brian and good luck in Tampa.
